Netherley is an area in the city of Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is bordered by Belle Vale and situated near to Huyton, Tarbock and Halewood. Netherley is a leafy suburb of Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is in the south of the city surrounded mostly by farmland and countryside, Liverpool City Council ward of Belle Vale. Belle Vale is a district of south-east Liverpool, Merseyside, England and a Liverpool City Council Ward that covers both Belle Vale and Netherley. Huyton
Huyton ( ) is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Merseyside, England. Part of the Liverpool Urban Area, it borders the Liverpool suburbs of Dovecot, Knotty Ash and Belle Vale, and the neighbouring village of Roby, with which it formed Huyton with Roby Urban District between 1894 and 1974. Historically in Lancashire, Huyton was an ancient parish which in the mid-19th century contained Croxteth Park, Knowsley and Tarbock, in addition to the township of Huyton-with-Roby. Tarbock
Tarbock is a village and former civil parish within the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, in Merseyside, England. It is situated to the south east of Huyton and to the east of Netherley. The village itself is from Liverpool city centre, from Widnes and from Prescot. The M62 motorway junction 6 is in the area and is more familiarly called ''Tarbock Island''. At the 2001 Census, the population of Tarbock was 2,382 (1,146 males, 1,236 females). The parish council was abolished on 1 April 2014. History In 2007, evidence of a Roman Tile works was found around the Tarbock Island area of the M62. The tiles were destined for army barracks in Chester. Halewood
Halewood is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley in Merseyside, England. It lies near the city of Liverpool's southeastern boundary, bordered by the suburbs of Netherley, Hunt's Cross and Woolton. Historically a part of Lancashire, Halewood originated as a small village that later became absorbed by residential development as a suburb of Liverpool. Belle Vale (ward)
Belle Vale is an electoral division of Liverpool City Council in the Garston and Halewood Parliamentary constituency. Background The ward was formed in 2004 and the boundaries were altered in 2023. From 2023 the ward is represented by two councillors. 2004 boundaries A review by the Boundary Committee for England recommended that the council was formed of a reduced number of 90 members elected from 30 wards. The Belle Vale was created from the former Netherley and Valley wards. The ward boundaries followed the city boundary and the North Liverpool Extension Line.
