Morocco At The 2012 Summer Olympics
Morocco competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. It was the nation's thirteenth appearance at the Olympics, having not participated at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of its support of the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott, United States boycott. Moroccan Olympic Committee, Comité Olympique Marocain sent the nation's largest ever delegation to the Games. A total of 63 athletes, 46 men and 17 women, competed in 12 sports, including the nation's Olympic debut in Equestrianism, equestrian events. Football at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's tournament, Men's football was the only team event in which Morocco was represented at these Olympic games. Moroccan Olympic Committee
The Moroccan National Olympic Committee ( ar, اللجنة الأولمبية الوطنية المغربية, french: Comité National Olympique Marocain, es, Comité Olímpico Nacional Marroquí, abbreviated as CNOM) is a non-profit organization serving as the National Olympic Committee of Morocco. It was formed in 1959 and recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the same year.
