London Films Productions is a British film and television production company founded in 1932 by Alexander Korda and from 1936 based at Denham Film Studios in Buckinghamshire, near London. The company's productions included ''The Private Life of Henry VIII'' (1933), '' Things to Come'' (1936), ''Rembrandt'' (1936), and ''The Four Feathers'' (1939). The facility at Denham was taken over in 1939 by Rank and merged with Pinewood to form D & P Studios. Composition and initial success Composer Vasily Solovyov-Sedoi and poet Mikhail Matusovsky wrote the song in 1955 with the title "Leningrad Nights" ( rus, Ленинградские вечера, Leningradskije večera, ), but at the request of the Soviet Ministry of Culture, the song was renamed "Moscow Nights" and made corresponding changes to the lyrics. In 1956, "Moscow Nights" was recorded by Vladimir Troshin, a young actor of the Moscow Art Theatre, for a scene in a documentary about the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic's athletic competition Spartakiad in which the athletes rest in '' Podmoskovye'', the Moscow suburbs. ''Sanders of the River'' is a 1935 British film directed by the Hungarian-British director, Zoltán Korda, based on the stories of Edgar Wallace. It is set in Colonial Nigeria.
