Egor Mekhontsev
Egor Leonidovich Mekhontsev (Егор Леонидович Мехонцев, transliteration ''Egor Leonidovich Mechoncev''; born 14 November 1984), is a Russian professional boxer, who among other achievements, won gold at 2012 London Olympics in the light heavyweight division. Career Light-Heavyweight Southpaw Mekhontsev won a silver medal in the 2004 Light-heavyweight Russian senior national championships losing to Mikhail Gala in the final and won another silver in 2005 again losing to Gala in the semi-final by 39:26. The following year in 2006 he won bronze losing to Artur Beterbiyev 41:30 in the semi-final and in 2007 another bronze losing to Evgeni Makarenko. Change to Heavyweight Mekhontsev then moved up to the heavyweight 201 lbs limit division and won the 2008 Russian national championships beating Evgeniy Romanov in the final by a score of 19–5. Artur Asilbekovich Beterbiev (; ; born 21 January 1985) is a Russian and Canadian professional boxer. He held the undisputed light-heavyweight championship between 2024 and February 2025. He also held the International Boxing Organization (IBO) and ''Ring'' magazine titles during his reign as champion. Beterbiev is the first boxer to become the undisputed light-heavyweight champion since Roy Jones Jr. last held that distinction in 2002, and is the first to do so in the "four-belt" era. Denys Poyatsyka (; born April 29, 1985, in Krementschuk, Poltava Oblast) is a Ukrainian amateur boxing, amateur boxer, best known for winning the European title at 201 lbs in 2006. Career Poyatsyka started to box in 1995. In 2004, he moved up to light heavy from middleweight, although he didn't win the national title. In 2006 he moved up to heavyweight with a limit of 201 lbs and won the national title. Due to this, he was sent to the Euro championships. Osmay Acosta Méndez Duarte (born April 3, 1985) is a Cuban former amateur boxer, who competed between 2001 and 2010, best known to win the 2007 PanAm Games at Heavyweight with 201 lbs (91 kg) limit. Clemente Russo (born 27 July 1982) is a retired Italian amateur boxer, best known for winning gold at the 2007 and 2013 World Amateur Boxing Championships at heavyweight (201 lbs limit).
