Egor Mekhontsev
Egor Leonidovich Mekhontsev (Егор Леонидович Мехонцев, transliteration ''Egor Leonidovich Mechoncev''; born 14 November 1984), is a Russian professional boxer, who among other achievements, won gold at 2012 London Olympics in the light heavyweight division. Career Light-Heavyweight Southpaw Mekhontsev won a silver medal in the 2004 Light-heavyweight Russian senior national championships losing to Mikhail Gala in the final and won another silver in 2005 again losing to Gala in the semi-final by 39:26. The following year in 2006 he won bronze losing to Artur Beterbiyev 41:30 in the semi-final and in 2007 another bronze losing to Evgeni Makarenko. Change to Heavyweight Mekhontsev then moved up to the heavyweight 201 lbs limit division and won the 2008 Russian national championships beating Evgeniy Romanov in the final by a score of 19-5. Artur Asilbekovich Beterbiev ( ce, Арту́р Асильбе́кович Бетерби́ев russian: Артур Асильбекович Бетербиев; born 21 January 1985) is a Russian-Canadian professional boxer. He is a unified light heavyweight champion, having held the IBF title since 2017, the WBC title since 2019 and the WBO title since June 2022. As an amateur, Beterbiev won a silver medal at the 2007 World Championships, gold at the 2008 World Cup, 2009 World Championships, as well as gold at the 2006 and 2010 European Championships, all in the light-heavyweight division. Denys Poyatsyka ( uk, Денис Пояцика; born April 29, 1985 in Krementschuk, Poltava Oblast) is a Ukrainian amateur boxing, amateur boxer, best known for winning the European title at 201 lbs in 2006. Career Poyatsyka started to box in 1995. In 2004 he was still competing at middleweight then he moved up to light heavy but wasn't the #1 in his country. In 2006 he moved up to heavyweight with limit 201 lbs and won the national title therefore he was sent to the Euro championships. Osmay Acosta Méndez Duarte (born April 3, 1985) is a Cuban former amateur boxer, who competed between 2001 and 2010, best known to win the 2007 PanAm Games at Heavyweight with 201 lbs (91 kg) limit. Career Acosta is a 1,85 m tall fighter, a southpaw, who won the 165 lbs world cadet championships 2001 vs Zaur Teymurov and became the junior world champion at 75 kg/165 lbs in 2002 in Santiago de Cuba beating Russian Nikolai Galacki 10:9, Uzbek Alisher Matniazov KO, and Kazack Dmitriy Gotfrid in the final 14:8. Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk ( uk, Олекса́ндр Олекса́ндрович У́сик; born 17 January 1987) is a Ukrainian professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including the unified WBA (Super), IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles since 2021, and the ''Ring'' magazine heavyweight title since 2022. Clemente Russo (born 27 July 1982) is an Italian amateur boxer, best known for winning gold at the 2007 and 2013 World Amateur Boxing Championships at heavyweight (201 lbs limit). Stephen Simmons (born 6 August 1984) is a Scottish former professional boxer who competed from 2011 to 2018. He held multiple regional championships at cruiserweight, including the WBC International Silver title from 2013 to 2015 and the IBF European title in 2017.
