Chandragiri is a List of cities in Nepal, municipality in Kathmandu District in Bagmati Province of Nepal that was declared as municipality on 2 December 2014 by merging the former Village development committee (Nepal), Village Development Committees Baad Bhanjyang, Balambu, Dahachok, Mahadevsthan, Kathmandu, Mahadevsthan, Machhegaun, Matatirtha, Naikap Naya Bhanjyang, Naikap Purano Bhanjyang, Satungal, Thankot and Tinthana. The urban administration is located in Old-Balambu. The city's main attractions include Chandragiri Hill, Nepal with its Chandragiri Cable Car, Cable Car. Matatirtha is a village and former Village Development Committee that is now part of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu District in Province No. 3 of central Nepal. A village development committee ( ne, गाउँ विकास समिति; ''gāum̐ vikās samiti'') in Nepal was the lower administrative part of its Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development.
