2013 Women's British Open
The 2013 Ricoh Women's British Open was played 1–4 August at the Old Course at St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland. It was the 37th Women's British Open, and the 13th as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. It was the second Women's British Open at St Andrews, the first was six years earlier in 2007. ESPN televised the tournament in the United States and BBC Sport broadcast the event in the United Kingdom. Stacy Lewis won her second major, two shots ahead of runners-up Na Yeon Choi and Hee Young Park. High winds on Saturday caused a suspension of play at mid-day until Sunday morning; the leaders played 36 holes on Sunday under clear skies and breezy conditions. It was Lewis' first win at the Women's British Open. The win snapped at ten the longest streak in history without an American winning a women's major title. The LPGA of Korea Tour is a South Korean professional golf tour for women. LPGA stands for Ladies Professional Golf Association. LPGA of Korea runs this tour, not the American LPGA. The LPGA of Japan Tour is a professional golf tour for women organised by the Japan Ladies Professional Golfers' Association. It is the second richest women's golf tour in the world. The U.S.-based LPGA Tour is the most important women's tour, but the prize money gap has closed markedly since the American tour's total prize fund peaked at just over $60 million in 2008. The Women's World Golf Rankings, also known for sponsorship reasons as the Rolex Rankings, were introduced in February 2006. Inbee Park (, or ; born 12 July 1988) is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and the LPGA of Japan Tour. The Curtis Cup is the best known team trophy for women amateur golfers, awarded in the biennial Curtis Cup Match. It is co-organised by the United States Golf Association and The R&A and is contested by teams representing the United States and "Great Britain and Ireland". The 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship was played at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, from March 31 – April 3. This was the 40th edition of the Kraft Nabisco Championship and its 29th year as a women's major golf championship. Stacy Lewis shot 69 (−3) in the final round to win her first major, three strokes ahead of runner-up Yani Tseng, the defending champion, 54-hole leader, and number one player in the women's world rankings. Kraft Nabisco Championship
The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. Founded in 1972 by singer and actress Dinah Shore and Colgate-Palmolive chairman David Foster, it was played at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California from its inception through 2022. Hee Young Park
Park Hee-young (, born 24 May 1987) is a South Korean professional golfer currently playing on the LPGA Tour. Early golf career As an amateur, Park was a three time member of the South Korean National team. Park was twice runner-up in the South Korea Amateur Open. 2005 was Park's first full year as a professional golfer. She won three times on the LPGA of Korea Tour which earned her rookie of the year honors. Park won another two KLPGA tournaments in 2006. LPGA Tour career Park earned her tour card at the 2007 LPGA qualifying school. She played in 28 LPGA events in 2008 and made the cut in 22 of them.
