History

The club was founded in 1922 by former members of the Owen Roes, a club formed in 1895 who played their football originally in the Meath Championship due to the lack of football in Louth. Although a portion of

Their progress continued in 2022, qualifying for the semi-final stage of the Junior Championship for the first time since 1993, coinciding with centenary celebrations. In recent years, the club has also entered Ladies' teams in Louth LGFA competitions.
