In 1996, he graduated from the History Department at the Białystok campus of the

He received a position of professor in 2019. Hhe was employed as an academic teacher from 1997. He was the deputy director of the Institute of History of the University of Białystok (2005-2008) and the director of the Institute of History and Political Science of the University of Białystok (2008-2012). In 2008, he was appointed head of the Department of Political Relations of the University of Białystok . In the years 2012-2016, he was the dean of the Faculty of History and Sociology at the University of Białystok , and in the years 2016-2020 he was the vice-rector for education at the University of Białystok . Since 2019, he has been the head of the Department of Eastern Studies at the University of Bialystok. From January 2017, he is the director of the Sybir Memorial Museum in Białystok. He received the Silver (2016) and Bronze (2009) Cross of Merit.
