Chennaionline.com wrote: "A neatly crafted screenplay with some engaging situations, catchy lines, well etched characters, sensitive treatment and some fine performances, all make debutant director Samuthiraikani's maiden directorial effort ''Unnai Charanadainthein'' worth watching.
