The school was established in 2014 under the guidance of Galkulame Uparathana Thero, Senior Lecturer of Sinhala and Modern Language Studies Department of

Education

There are more than 1,500 students studying in the college. The school is supported to provide both primary and secondary education to the students to achieve the qualifications such as grade 5 scholarship exams, O/L and A/L. The English medium section of the school was started in 2021. Under GCE Advanced Level, students are enrolled to the Art and Commerce streams.
