1954 Isle of Man TT

The start of the Senior race was already delayed for at least an hour and a half due to bad weather and increasingly poor visibility. When the race finally started, Sandys-Winsch came off his 350 cc Junior class Velocette machine due to his speed and the wet conditions. The race was shortened to only four laps because of the weather and the fatal accident. Eight other people were seriously injured in this race.
