in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. This was the nation's eleventh appearance at the Olympics. The Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee (french: Comité National Olympique et Sportif Sénégalais) sent a total of sixteen athletes to the Games, six men and ten women, to take part in six different sports. For the second consecutive time in the nation's Olympic history, Senegal was represented by more female than male athletes.
