Following their collaboration, BadBadNotGood invited Herring to their Toronto studio to work on some music for their album. From these sessions, they wrote and recorded "Time Moves Slow" as well as the non-album single "I Don't Know". "Time Moves Slow" premiered live in 2015 at a Red Bull show in Los Angeles; the band played the track as well as their version of "Seasons (Waiting on You)" with Herring . The track debuted on
