'' format after eight seasons. ''Hometown Hockey'' featured a pre-game show and studio segments hosted by
Ron MacLean from different Canadian cities, and profiling their local players and hockey communities.
The games were originally carried by
Citytv during its inaugural season,
before moving exclusively to Sportsnet.
