Release

A reviewer of the film noted that it was shot like a western film. The film, along with Velu Prabhakaran's other venture '' Asuran'' (1995) during the same period, did not perform well at the box office. It was later dubbed and released in Hindi as ''Badmashon Ka Raja''.
