Noyemberyan (previously Barana), Dovegh, Koghb, Berdavan, Zorakan, Haghtanak, Ayrum, Lchkadzor, Archis, Ptghavan, Deghdzavan, Bagratashen and Debetavan were part of the Alaverdi District. The district and its center were named Noyemberyan in honor of the
