Early career

Born in Córdoba, Bustos started playing for hometown side CA Huracán at the age of five. He subsequently moved to Argentino Peñarol, and on 24 February 2013, at the age of just 14 years, seven months and 20 days, he made his senior debut for the latter side by coming on as a substitute and scoring the fifth goal in a 7–0
