Early life

Choudhury was born on 26 July 1955. He completed his bachelor's degree and master's in law.


Career

Choudhury joined the district court on 21 August 1981 as a lawyer. Choudhury became a lawyer of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court on 24 January 1984. On 30 October 2001, Choudhury became a lawyer of the Appellate Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. On 27 August 2003, Choudhury was appointed an additional judge of the High Court Division. Choudhury was made a permanent judge of the High Court Division on 27 August 2005. On 11 November 2009, Choudhury and Justice Abu Bakar Siddiquee ordered the government to appoint 197 candidates of the 27th Bangladesh Civil Service examinations whose appointment had been stopped by the previous caretaker government on grounds that there had been irregularities in the recruitment.
