Maria Vladimirovna Fominykh (russian: Мария Владимировна Фоминых; born 6 February 1987) is a Russian chess player.

Maria Fominykh learned to play chess at the age of seven. She is a two-time winner of Russian Youth Chess Championships: in 2001, in the U14 girls age group and in 2003, in the U16 girls age group. From 1997 to 2004, Fominykh represented Russia at the
