Career

Martín as professional from 1955 to 1969, where he notably won five stages of the

. Height 1.72 and weight in form 68-70 kg. He was considered a rouleur with great physical strength. He started his career late, at the age of 24 in the beginners category. After two successful seasons, he upgraded to an Independent, and two years later, in 1958, he signed with . In 1968, at 38 years old, Lagaríca signed with Karpy, and won 2 stages in the Vuelta España in which he was also a team leader. He retired after the following season.
