Biography

Lyons was born in Boston in 1897 and was a graduate of Massachusetts Agricultural College, now known as the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Lyons was a reporter for '' The Boston Globe'' in 1919 and from 1923 to 1946; in 1971, he published a history of the first 100 years of that newspaper. In 1946, he took the position of curator for the
