in local elections. At the beginning of 2006 there were plans to merge EDP with '' Eesti Iseseisvuspartei'' (EIP) and '' Põllumeeste Kogu'' (''Farmers' Council'', PK), but this did not happen. On 18 March 2006 the party congress voted to join the
