After the club blocked his international call–up with Mauritius; Bru threatened to take his case to FIFA, leading the club to reverse their decision and allowing him to join the national team squad. Despite this, Bru went on to make a total of 26 appearances and scoring once in his first season at Levski Sofia. From the age of six though, I always wanted to play football and my brother and I would play every minute that we had that was free."
