History

Koderma sub-division was created in
Hazaribagh district Hazaribagh district is one of the twenty-four districts of Jharkhand state, India and the district headquarter located in Hazaribagh town. It is currently a part of the Red Corridor. Etymology The district is named after its headquarters, the t ...
in 1973 and on 10 April 1994, it was made a full-fledged district.


Administrative set up

The district is headed by a deputy commissioner, who is assisted by a number of officers. Koderma subdivision continues to function with six community development blocks:
