History
The modern village was founded in the early 19th century by settlers from the nearby Armenian mountain villages of ''Jrver'' and ''Yereshen''.
During the
Soviet period, the village was part of the
Askeran District of the
Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast.
