Fitzy has won Laois Senior Football Championship medals with Portlaoise in 1999, 2002, 2004, 2007, 2008 (as captain), 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 and was chosen as Laois captain in 2005 in the absence of Colm Parkinson. In late 2006, Kevin was recalled to the Laois senior squad under the new manager Liam Kearns.
