Karine Thomas (born January 14, 1989) was a Canadian

. Her parents were on the national water-polo team. Her grandmother, Esther Blais-Valin, was a synchronized swimmer in the 1940s and 50s.


Career

Thomas began synchronized swimming at age ten, at thirteen she moved to Montreal to further her training. She joined the national team in 2007 and competed in her first world championships that year. Thomas was a two time Olympian competing in the
