Juozas Karvelis (April 18, 1934 – April 12, 2018
) was a
Lithuanian politician. In 1990 he was among those who signed the
Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania.

Captain. He worked as a
maritime captain at the trade port in Klaipėda in 1986–90.
A member of
Sąjūdis
