Mishra was the editor for ''Vrihat Maithili Shabdakosh'' (वृहत मैथिली शब्दकोश/বৃহৎ মৈথিলী শব্দকোষ), the first Maithili-English dictionary. On 30 September 2010, The Supreme Court (Court No. 9) rejected the appeal.The judgement for Civil Appeal 7266 of 2004 was given by Justices B. Sudarshan Reddy and Surinder Songh Nijjar.
