Imari Narain Che Hines-Samuels (born 5 February 2003) is an English footballer who plays for the academy of Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion as a left-back.


Club career


Reading

A youth product of Reading, he signed scholarship terms with the club as a sixteen-year-old in 2019. He began training with the first team for the first time in August 2020. This came after he signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Reading in January 2020, keeping him with the club until the summer of 2022. Samuels picked up an injury that required surgery in 2021.


Brighton

In August 2022, Samuels turned down Reading's offer of a new contract in order to join the academy of Premier League team Brighton & Hove Albion on a two-year deal, with Reading receiving compensation from Brighton for his services. Samuels has been selected at youth level by England at U15, U16 and U17 level. In May 2023 he was selected as part of the England squad for the

. His two appearances during the tournament both came in the group stage as a substitute against Uruguay and starting in a goalless draw against Iraq.
