The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary ( hu, Magyarország külügyminisztere) is a member of the Hungarian cabinet and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The current foreign minister is Péter Szijjártó. The position was called People's Commissar of Foreign Affairs ( hu, külügyi népbiztos) during the Hungarian Soviet Republic in 1919 and Minister besides the King ( hu, a király személye körüli miniszter) between 1848 and 1918, except in 1849 when Hungary declared its independence from the Austrian Empire. During the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (1867–1918) the two countries also had a joint Minister of Foreign Affairs. This page is a list of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
