classification (PPG I) includes two genera: *'' Hypodematium'' Kunze – about 20 species *'' Leucostegia'' C.Presl – two species '' Didymochlaena'' has been placed in this family as well, but in PPG I, it is placed in its own family, Didymochlaenaceae.
