. His first taste of international rugby came in 2017 when he was called up to the Ireland under-18 squad for a friendly against Portugal under-18. Hyde opening the scoring for the Irish side, with a try in the 9th minute in the 27–46 win. In 2018 he started at centre in a 56–17 win over Canada under-18 where he scored two tries. He featured for the under-18 side 5 times in total. He was named in the Irish squad for the 2018 Rugby Europe Under-18 Sevens Championship. With Ireland coming runners up, losing to France in the final. He featured once for Ireland under-19 in a friendly against Australia Schools. While he was with Ireland under-19 he was invited to join the England squad however he declined. He was named in the Ireland under-20 squad for the
