He was the younger brother of footballer David McLean who was a noted goalscorer of the age.SFAQs: Davie McLean
ScottishLeague.net They were teammates at Bradford for one season ( 1921–22, David's last of three campaigns at the club and George's first of nine) and both closed out their careers at Forfar, but David (eight years older) had retired by the time George came 'home'. He died in 1970.
