Huddersfield Town A
Huddersfield is a market town in the Kirklees district in West Yorkshire, England. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Kirklees district. The town is in the foothills of the Pennines. The River Holme's confluence into the similar-sized Colne to the south of the town centre which then flows into the Calder in the north eastern outskirts of the town. The rivers around the town provided soft water required for textile treatment in large weaving sheds, this made it a prominent mill town with an economic boom in the early part of the Victorian era Industrial Revolution. The town centre has much neoclassical Victorian architecture, one example is which is a Grade I listed building – described by John Betjeman as "the most splendid station façade in England" – and won the Europa Nostra award for architecture. Jaheim Anthony Headley (born 24 September 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays for as a left-back for club Huddersfield Town. Club career Born in Southwark, London, Headley started out at Millwall, then trained at the Mass Elite Academy, before he moved to Huddersfield Town's under-17 squad in 2017. Headley moved on loan to Bradford (Park Avenue) in 2019, then Hyde United in 2020. Thomas James Lees (born 28 November 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Huddersfield Town. Lees began his career in the youth teams at Leeds before turning professional with the Yorkshire club in early 2009. He made his professional debut whilst on a season-long loan at Accrington Stanley in their Football League Trophy first round victory over Oldham Athletic in September of the same year. He joined Bury on a similar deal the following season and was voted the Players' Player of the Year in the Shakers' promotion-winning campaign before returning to Leeds in the summer of 2012 where he established himself as a first-team regular. Anthony Patrick Knockaert (born 20 November 1991) is a French professional footballer who plays as a winger for EFL Championship side Huddersfield Town, on loan from side Fulham. Club career Guingamp Knockaert, who was born in Roubaix, began his professional career with Guingamp, having previously spent his youth career at Wasquehal, Leers, Lens, Mouscron and Lesquin.
