The production was around 2 million units per annum during the peak production years between 1955 AD and 1982 AD. There was huge wastage due to insufficient processing technologies during that period. Pineapple cultivation has contributed much to their well being and improved quality of life. In recent years, a majority of the population of the village has switched over to
