Premise

Magic device craftswoman Dahlia is a reincarnated woman, who is told by her fiancée Tobias that he wishes to annul their engagement just shortly after they move in together. She complies gladly, since she never wanted the marriage; instead focusing on her craft. This lead her to befriend a local knight named Wolfred.

Characters

; : :A magic device craftsman. In her past life, Dahlia had her spirit crushed by thankless work; which came back when Tobias began selfishly asking her to change her looks to have some control in their relationship. When she gets out of the engagement, Dahlia begins her own independent business and cancels all contact with the Orlando Firm. :Dahlia is immune to Wolf's attractiveness, which makes other girls swoon; it is unknown if this is due to her bitterness at Orlando, or her soul not being native to the world. ; :Dahlia's former fiancée and junior craftsman disciple; he left her for Emilia Tullini. Tobias lacks skills to make magic devices himself; having planned to steal credit for Dahlia's work, while trying to make her dependant on him. Tobias asks Dahlia to help him financially, even after betraying her trust. Fueling his self-hatred, Tobias learns from his brother later on the story that he was not entrusted with Dahlia, by her father when the marriage was arranged; rather he was meant to protect Dahlia, due her genius being a target for others. ; : :A knight whom Dahlia helped recover from a previous mission. He is cursed (literally) with good looks that make girls swoon over him, even if they already have a lover; this also makes it hard for him to keep friends as the girls he spurned lie to their brothers that he made a move on them. Dahlia is immune to this charm, so Wolfred enjoys her company. :Wolfred was born of his father's mistress, a knight, whom died protecting his elder half brother and stepmother. Despite these circumstances, Wolfred is loved and accepted by his whole family. ;Emilia Tullini :The illegitimate daughter of a noble and a recently hired secretary at the Orlando Firm. Emilia is a moron with a kind heart; exactly the reason Orlando fell for her, since unlike Dahlia, she was controllable. It did not help that she put her belongings in Dahlia's personal furniture, plus slept with Orlando in Dahlia's bed; all of which happened the day after the engagement was annulled.
