Media Factory
, formerly known as , was a Japanese publisher and brand company of Kadokawa Future Publishing. History The company was founded on December 1, 1986, and was a subsidiary of Recruit (Japanese company), Recruit Co., Ltd., based in Shibuya, Tokyo. Media Factory was possibly the first anime distributor to ask for sites to not link to fansubs of any anime produced by the company. On October 12, 2011, Media Factory was purchased by Kadokawa Corporation for ¥8,000,000,000. Media Factory also has a monthly manga magazine, ''Monthly Comic Alive'', and its own light novel imprint, ''MF Bunko J''. Media Factory also holds the license for the distribution of ''The 39 Clues'' in Japan. Media Factory ceased being a kabushiki gaisha, as well as retired Pokémon (anime), the ''Pokémon'' anime series on October 1, 2013, when it was merged with eight other companies to become a brand company of Kadokawa Corporation. Kadokawa Future Publishing
is the publishing arm of Kadokawa Corporation, publishing manga, novels, light novels, magazines, tabletop role-playing games and other type of content with eight different publishing brand companies that previously merged with it. The company used to be the first iteration of and was the parent company of the Kadokawa Group companies, which brought together several affiliated companies related to Kadokawa Shoten. Kadokawa Dwango announced a restructuring in February 2019. On July 1, 2019, Kadokawa Corporation was reorganized; the publishing business remained and the company was renamed to Kadokawa Future Publishing. is an eight-minute original net animation produced by Anime International Company, and directed by Takafumi Hoshikawa. Since November 22, 2007, the ONA is available through streaming on the Cho! animelo audiovisual website and the Nico Nico Douga online video service. is a visual novel released for the PC by âge in 2002. It was followed by a three-part video, simply titled ''Akane Maniax'', which was released in 2004. It is a prequel of sorts to ''Muv-Luv'' and side story to ''Kimi ga Nozomu Eien'', and features Akane Suzumiya from ''Kimi ga Nozomu Eien'' as its main heroine. Like ''Muv-Luv Extra'' and unlike ''Kimi ga Nozomu Eien'', it focuses more on comedy than drama.
