He is the first Canadian in History to achieve the level of World Champion in the sport of MuayThai. Clifton is also the first ever Canadian National team head coach. At present Clifton continues his dedication to Muay Thai, by passing on his knowledge at Toronto based gym, Lotus Fitness and Thai Boxing, and Etobicoke Martial Arts. In November 2016, MuayThai became a provisionally recognized sport by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). In April 2017, MuayThai Canada with its mandate to prepare and support Canadian athletes in their endeavors to become successful on the world stage, nominated Clifton Brown as Canada's first National team head coach.
