''Chip Chilla'' was criticized by many people seeing it as a blatant right-wing rip-off of '' Bluey''. The show was also criticized for the main characters having prideful and self-centered personalities, this is evident in the episode "The Fall of Room" where Chip pretends to be

which he treats his house like an empire, which his family later trashed it as an act of rebellion. What is also criticized is that the father Chum Chum mainly comes up with the lessons instead of the family, the main premise of the children being homeschooled also meant fewer locations could've been explored outside of their home.
