According to ''Guinness World Records'', (2007 edition), Bluey (1910-1939) lived 29 years, 5 months, and at that time was the oldest lived dog ever verified. Three owners had also made claims for longer-lived dogs— Max, Maggie, and Bella—however these claims have not been independently verified. Bluey's age, along with that of "Chilla", a Labrador Retriever and Australian Cattle Dog mix reported to have lived to the age of 32 years and 12 days,''World's oldest pooch dies'', Beaver County Times, 13 March 1984.
