While serving as the 2nd Minister of Finance II from 30 January 2018, he was appointed on 27 September 2018, to the position of Minister in the PMO and was retained during the cabinet reshuffle on 7 June 2022. At the 2019 Legislative Council (LegCo) Meeting, he recommended a government budget of B$5.86 billion for the 2019–2020 fiscal year.
