and Agona Swedru. In 1969 he was elected member of parliament to represent the Asamankese constituency on the ticket of the Progress Party. That same year he was appointed deputy minister for Youth and Rural Development. He served together with Carl Daniel Reindorf as deputy minister for the ministry; he was responsible for rural development while Carl was responsible for the youth department of the ministry. In 1971 he was moved to the ministry of Labour and Co-operatives to serve as its deputy minister. He served in this capacity until 1972 when the Busia government was overthrown.


Personal life

He was married to Nanette and together they had four children. His hobbies included motoring and gardening.
