Željka Cvijanović
Željka Cvijanović (; sr-cyr, Жељка Цвијановић, ; born 2 August 1967) is a Bosnian Serb politician who is the 9th and current President of Republika Srpska. She was the 11th Prime Minister of Republika Srpska from 12 March 2013 until 19 November 2018. On 7 October 2018, she was elected to be President of Republika Srpska, assuming office on 19 November 2018. Cvijanović is a member of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD). Early life and education Born Željka Grabovac in Teslić in central Bosnia in 1967. Before going into full-time politics, Cvijanović was an English teacher. She studied at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka and the Faculty of Law in Banja Luka. The president of Republika Srpska ( sh, Предсједник Републике Српске/Predsjednik Republike Srpske, ) is the highest executive authority in Republika Srpska, an entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is one of the executive authorities, along with the Government of Republika Srpska. The president of Republika Srpska is directly elected for a term of four years, along with two vice presidents from different constituent nations (Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks). None of them can be from a same constituent nation at the same time. The president's residence is in Banja Luka. 2014 Bosnian General Election
General elections were held in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 12 October 2014. They decided the makeup of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency as well as national, entity, and cantonal governments. Voter turnout was 54.4%. The elections for the House of Representatives were divided into two; one for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and one for Republika Srpska. In the presidential election, voters in the Federation re-elected Bosniak Bakir Izetbegović and elected Croat Dragan Čović, while voters in Republika Srpska elected Serb Mladen Ivanić. The Party of Democratic Action emerged as the largest party in the House of Representatives, winning 10 of the 42 seats. Mladen Ivanić ( sr-cyr, Младен Иванић, ; born 16 September 1958) is a Bosnian Serb politician who served as the 6th Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 17 November 2014 until 20 November 2018.
