Henri Skoda (born 1945) is a French mathematician, specializing in the analysis of several complex variables. Skoda studied from 1964 at l'École normale supérieure and received there in 1967 his agrégation in mathematics. He received in 1972 his Ph.D. from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis under André Martineau (primary advisor) and Pierre Lelong (secondary advisor) with thesis ''Étude quantitative des sous-ensembles analytiques de Cn et des idéaux de functions holomorphes''. Skoda became a professor in Toulon and since 1976 has been a professor at the University of Paris VI. For many years he ran an analysis seminar with Pierre Lelong and Pierre Dolbeault. Joseph Škoda
Joseph Škoda (10 December 1805 – 13 June 1881) was a Czech physician, medical professor and dermatologist. Together with Carl Freiherr von Rokitansky, he was the founder of the Modern Medical School of Vienna. Life Škoda was born in Pilsen, Bohemia, as the second son of a locksmith. He attended the gymnasium at Pilsen, entered the University of Vienna in 1825, and received the degree of Doctor of Medicine on 10 July 1831. He first served in Bohemia as physician during the outbreak of cholera, was assistant physician in the General Hospital of Vienna, 1832–38, in 1839 city physician of Vienna for the poor, and on 13 February 1840, on the recommendation of Dr. Ludwig Freiherr von Türkheim, chairman of the Imperial Committee of Education, was appointed to the unpaid position of chief physician of the department for tuberculosis just opened in the general hospital. Milan Škoda (born 16 January 1986) is a Czech professional footballer who plays as a forward for Czech First League club Mladá Boleslav. Paul Badura-Skoda (6 October 1927 – 25 September 2019) was an Austrian pianist. Career A student of Edwin Fischer, Badura-Skoda first rose to prominence by winning first prize in the Austrian Music Competition in 1947. In 1949, he performed with conductors including Wilhelm Furtwängler and Herbert von Karajan; over his long career, he recorded with conductors including Hans Knappertsbusch, Hermann Scherchen, and George Szell. Along with his contemporaries Friedrich Gulda and Jörg Demus, he was part of the so-called "Viennese Troika". He was best known for his performances of works by Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, but had an extensive repertoire including many works of Chopin and Ravel.
