Kemal Şahin is a Turkish– German entrepreneur, a textile tycoon, and founder and CEO of Şahinler Holding. He is also an environmental activist against erosion. Early life Şahin (which means falcon in Turkish) was born in 1955 to a poor family in the village of Taşlıpınar in the Beyşehir district of Konya Province, Turkey. He finished primary school in his village, secondary school in Beyşehir and high school in Konya. Sahin then went to Germany on a scholarship in 1973, to study metallurgical engineering at RWTH Aachen University for Etibank, a large state-owned mining company. Serkan Şahin (born 15 February 1988) is a Turkish former footballer who played mainly as a defender, but also as defensive midfielder. Career Şahin began his children's football with local club FC Bubendorf, but soon moved to the youth department of FC Basel, where he advanced successfully through the ranks. Nuri Şahin (born 5 September 1988) is a football manager and former professional player who played as a central midfielder. He is the manager of Antalyaspor.
