Life and work Kauksi Ülle sees herself as a South Estonian writer who is closely connected to the customs and history of South Estonia. Ülle Jaakma (née Ülle Lahke; born 1 October 1957) is an Estonian agronomist. Since on 1 January 2023, she is the rector of Estonian University of Life Sciences. Jaakma was born on the island of Muhu. She graduated from secondary school in Orissaare in 1975 and Tartu State University in 1980 as a biologist. Her narrower specialty is veterinary medicine. Education and career She was born in Tartu and graduated from the University of Tartu in 1960. 1960–1962 she continued to work in the university and also in the Institute of Experimental Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Estonian SSR. Ülle-Valve-Oktavie Ulla (10 November 1934 Tallinn – 9 April 2016 Tallinn) was an Estonian ballet dancer, opera and operetta singer, actress and dance pedagogue.
