Özyeğin University
Özyeğin University is a private, non-profit university located in Istanbul, Turkey. History The university was founded by the Hüsnü Özyeğin, Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation, and its establishment was approved by Foundation Act No. 5656, published in the Official Gazette No. 26526 on May 18, 2007. Özyeğin University admitted its first class of students to the department of Business Administration and started its education in September, 2008. According to the "Most Popular Universities" survey conducted by Bloomberg Business Week in 2014, Özyeğin ranked 3rd among foundation universities, following Sabancı and Koç universities, respectively. Özyeğin University was also placed 4th among all universities in the online survey conducted with 15.700 students from 89 universities between January and May 2014. Altunizade
Altunizade is a neighborhood of the municipality of Üsküdar in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located on the Asian side of the city. The location takes its name from Altunizade İsmail Zühtü Pasha (1806–1887), a wealthy civil servant in the Ottoman Empire, who established the settlement in an utmost area on the Anatolian part of Istanbul in the 19th century. "Altunizade" means gold trader in the Ottoman Turkish language. Murat Özyeğin (born January 10, 1976, in Istanbul) is a Turkish businessman. He is a second-generation member of one of the wealthiest families of Turkey, and son of a self-made billionaire Hüsnü Özyeğin. He is a member of the executive board of FIBA Holding and a member of the board of trustees of Özyeğin University. Tutya Yılmaz (born 4 June 1999 in Istanbul) is a Turkish female artistic gymnast who represented Turkey at the 2014 Youth Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. İrem Karamete (born June 20, 1993) is a Turkish fencer competing in the foil event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the first Turkish fencer to qualify for the Olympics since 1984. Early life Karamete was born into a fencing family in Istanbul, Turkey on June 20, 1993. Her father Mehmet Karamete coached the Israeli and German national fencing teams, as well as his spouse Nili Drori. Hüsnü Özyeğin
Hüsnü Özyeğin (born 1944) is a Turkish billionaire. He founded Finansbank in 1987 and later sold the Turkish division of the bank. Nowadays, his financial investments are managed under Fiba Holding while non-financial investments are managed under Fina Holding.
