Étoile Sportive du Sahel ( ar, النجم الرياضي الساحلي) is a Tunisian professional basketball club from Sousse. The club competes in the Tunisian Division I Basketball League. Championnat National A
The Championnat National A (CNA) is the highest tier professional basketball league in Tunisia. Established in 1956, the league currently features 10 teams. Étoile Sportive de Radès is the record holder for most titles, with a total of thirteen. The current champion is US Monastir, after winning the title in 2021–22. Tunisian Basketball Federation Cup
The Tunisian Basketball Federation Cup, also known as the Abderraouf-Menjour Cup (in French: Coupe Abderraouf-Menjour) or FTBB Cup, is an annual basketball cup in Tunisian men's basketball. It is contested by the teams that did not qualify for the play-off phase of the Championnat National A. Since 2018, the games are played during the FIBA national teams qualifiers which means most games are contested without team's internationals. Hamed Karoui
Hamed Karoui ( ar, حامد القروي) (30 December 1927 – 27 March 2020) was Prime Minister of Tunisia from 27 September 1989 to 17 November 1999. From 1986 to 1987 he was Minister of Youth and Sports and from 1988 to 1989 he was Minister of Justice. Born in Sousse, he was a member of the Constitutional Democratic Rally party, and the longest-serving president of Étoile Sportive du Sahel from 1961 to 1981. Biography He continued his primary and secondary studies in Sousse. At the age of 15, he joined Neo-Destour and campaigned in the ranks of the General Union of Tunisian Students (UGET) and the organization of Tunisian Scouts where, at the age of 17, he obtained the rank of district chief. He was also responsible for publishing the underground newspaper Al Kifah for the center of the country. After graduating in June 1946, he began his graduate studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Paris where he obtained a doctorate and a specialty certificate in pneumo-phthisiology ...

FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup
The FIBA Africa Basketball League (formerly named the FIBA Africa Clubs Champions Cup) was the highest caliber men's professional basketball competition for clubs until 2020, organized by the FIBA Africa and played by the champions of the leagues of the African countries. The league was replaced by the Basketball Africa League (BAL) from 2020. History The competition was founded in 1971. A year later, in 1972, Hit Trésor SC won the inaugural championship.
